Community Safety Advisory: Armed car theft reported on Brookstown
The Winston-Salem Police Department responded on Friday, June 21, to a reported armed car theft at 126 Brookstown Avenue, near Wake Forest-owned property. The victim reported that she parked her vehicle and was walking to an apartment building when a man approached her and robbed her of her car keys at gunpoint. The suspect then fled the area in the victim’s vehicle, a dark gray 2015 Toyota Rav4 with N.C. license plate PHW2578. The suspect had originally arrived in the area riding a blue bicycle.
